Substance Abuse Prevention & Wellness Mini Conference & Football Jamboree
Welcome, coaches, parents, athletes, and youth football supporters!
The Delaware Ducks 13U Youth Football Team has teamed up with the Delaware Department of Youth Services, Showtime Elite Championships LLC, and Delaware State University Football to present the Inaugural Substance Abuse Prevention and Wellness Mini Conference and Football Jamboree.
The fun-filled, educational event will be held at Delaware State University campus in Dover, DE, on Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14, 2022.
It will be an excellent opportunity to meet and compete with local youth football teams, receive hands-on training from high school and college coaches, and of course, observe and learn from Division I, collegiate student-athletes.
This event will focus on encouraging and educating young, student athletes on the importance of staying drug-free, living a healthy lifestyle, and prioritizing their education; all while competing and striving to become the best football players they can be.
The two-day event will open with the Mini Conference on Saturday, August 13th; a full day of student athlete-focused activities, including exciting, interactive workshops and panel discussions presented by high school football coaches and substance abuse and wellness professionals. There will also be a football Clinic hosted by the Delaware State University football staff, and an exclusive showcase of a DSU football team inter-squad scrimmage and a free BBQ to follow.
Sunday, August 14th will be the 14-team Jamboree, with a guaranteed minimum of 3 scrimmages per team. Each scrimmage will be timed (20 minutes).
The Mini Conference will be free and transportation will be provided for those who need it. The Jamboree however, will have a per team cost of $100. This event is a package deal, therefore teams can only participate in the Jamboree if they also attend the Mini Conference.
